Led the development of a novel robotic vending machine concept, driving the entire project from inception to realization.
Engineered and deployed ROS-2 drivers to seamlessly interface with the Kinova Gen-3 robotic arm, further integrating it with the existing vision stack for autonomous picking.
Orchestrated the successful integration of a suction-based gripper, enabling autonomous product retrieval by implementing external microcontroller-based (Arduino UNO-R3 based) low-level gripper control.
Devised and implemented highly efficient ROS-2 services, facilitating real-time inverse kinematics calculations for precise product picking during the automated process.
Employed hand-eye calibration and rectified picking offset discrepancies by meticulously validating the gripper design, Kinova-GUI tool offsets, and ROS transforms, achieving an impressive picking error of < 0.1 cm (< 0.04 inches).
